Domain name tokenization without the guesswork

Tokenization on DomainTokenization.comTM is a simple way to organize information about a domain name, share it with buyers, and keep settlement predictable. We work with traditional registrars, optional smart contracts, and clear payment methods.

1. Prepare the domain

Sellers confirm control of the domain inside the registrar where it lives today. We support .COM, .XYZ, .ORG, and .AI domains for traditional assets, along with Solana Name Service .SOL domains for web3 listings.

Each extension is governed by its own registry, similar to how separate layer 1 networks set their rules. Tokenization respects those rules and keeps the registrar account as the source of truth.

2. Create the listing

Listings display a buy-it-now price, allow bids, and can include a financing offer with monthly payments for up to five years. Buyers see whether the name includes an active website, the registrar on record, and other key facts.

Our team reviews each submission to keep the marketplace focused on liquid domains that can move quickly.

3. Optional DomainTokenization NFT

A DomainTokenization NFT is an optional digital twin that records the domain name, buy-it-now price, bid status, expiration date, length in characters, registrar, whether a live site is included, and financing details.

These NFTs exist to support marketing and DomainFi app features. They do not replace the registrar transfer, and they do not unlock special rights on their own.

4. Complete the transfer

After payment clears, the seller provides the EPP transfer code and approves the move at their registrar. Transfers follow the standard five-day window used across the domain industry. Buyers end up with the domain in their own registrar accounts.

Stablecoins, bank payments, or card transactions do not change this step—the registrar workflow remains the same.

What DomainTokenization NFTs include

The goal is to give buyers a clear snapshot of each asset. A typical digital twin contains:

  • Domain name, extension, and registrar
  • Buy-it-now price, current high bid, and optional financing plan details
  • Expiration date and whether content or a live website is included
  • Character length and quick notes about keywords or audience fit

Buyers can call up this information inside DomainFi dashboards or any lightweight app that reads the NFT data. It is a supporting record, not a replacement for domain ownership.

Payments we accept

  • Stripe credit card payments
  • ACH payments (United States)
  • Bank wire payments
  • USDC stablecoins on Solana and Ethereum
  • USDT stablecoins on Solana and Ethereum
  • Solana tokens, including SOL and SPL tokens
  • Ethereum tokens

All payments feed into escrow or direct settlement, depending on the agreement for the sale. Funds must clear before the registrar transfer starts.

DomainFi is a gradual path, not a replacement

Domain names remain unique virtual assets because only one party can control each DNS record. DomainFi uses digital twins to share verified data, connect to payment rails, and help investors see status updates without touching the registrar account.

Ethereum Name Service (.eth) domains are popular. We plan to add ENS integration in 2026 once our tooling is ready. Until then, Solana Name Service .SOL domains are the only blockchain-based domains we list.
